In detail the Hassle-Free-Happy Package:
Create an account and get your shipping label gratis: Register effortlessly to get started. You will land on the sokunı client portal page (powered by Circle-Hand). Once you register there, we'll ask you whether you want to receive a free shipping label from our email address hello@sokuni.com. That you can use up to 3 months. Should the label not work (anymore), just ping us an email and we will generate a new one.
IF YOU ARE IN AMSTERDAM, please contact us for a free pick-up if you wish.
NEW Still hassle-free but DIY-approach NEW:
You can also register and upload your items yourself! Simply take your washed item, lay it flat on the floor or bed, make 3 photos with adequate lighting (the background does not matter just try to lay the item flat and freely.) Front, back and close-up from the label with size. Enter as many categories as you can. We will review the item, fill in the gabs, price it and change the background on the pictures.
Once sold, we'll send you a shipping label. Pack the item(s) nicely and drop them at the post office.
For this option you'll receive 80% of the revenue.
Items we accept:
We accept clothing seized 50-164 / 0-14 years. Here is our list of brands we generally accept, please understand this list as a guideline. All items must be recently washed with no significant stains, holes or visible damage.
We also re-sell high quality toys, books, and certain nursery items.
As champions of sustainability committed to making a positive impact on the world, we have a strict policy against ultra-fast fashion. We also generally avoid fast fashion items, with one exception: we may consider high-quality pieces made from wool, cotton or silk. Our rationale is that reusing and extending the life of an existing garment, even if it was initially produced through fast fashion methods, is ultimately more environmentally responsible than discarding it prematurely.
While we maintain a carefully curated list of preferred brands, our selection process is nuanced and considers multiple factors. Therefore not all listed brands are guaranteed for re-sale and, we are open to unlisted brands, provided they align with our core values and quality requirements. We take the liberty to decide where we offer the items for sale, this can be in the store or in our pop-up store.
Pack your clothes: Gather all the items from accepted [brands] that you believe are suitable for resale. Make sure you collect a minimum of 5 items, or item(s) you believe are worth more than 15 EUR in total.
Ship your clothes: Take your box or bag to the carrier of your free shipping label.
Dropping off: Of course, you can drop off your clothes in person in our office, as we try to keep the CO2 emissions to a minimum. For that please reach out in advance under hello@sokuni.com to make sure your items can be received.
Sorting and Processing: We carefully sort, select, set the selling price and prepare the clothes for our (online) store. This might entail washing, ironing and/or steaming the clothes. Our curation process prioritizes the individual merits of each item over rigid brand adherence. This approach allows us to offer a diverse, high-quality selection that truly embodies our commitment to sustainable fashion. By adhering to these principles, we aim to contribute to a more sustainable fashion ecosystem while still offering practical solutions for conscious consumers.
Return or Recycle: Any items not selected for sale will be donated, prepared for recycling and/or donation or if a selling price under <5 EUR, we might offer them in a pop-up/thrift shop.
Earnings: For every item sold > 5 EUR, you’ll receive 40% of the selling price. Payments are automatically made bi-monthly.
Selling period: Once ready for sale, we’ll keep them for approximately up to 6 months. We take the liberty to keep items longer if we think that’s beneficial for selling them.
After selling period: Unsold items after the online-sales period these items become property of sokuni and will be donated, offered in a physical thrift shop and/or recycled.
Track your Sales: Monitor your sales revenue directly through your account. (Login Sell).
