Preamble

At sokunı, we're revolutionizing the textile industry with our innovative circular concept. Our vision is to significantly reduce global textile waste while inspiring a new era of conscious consumerism.

sokunı is offering second-hand clothing aged 0-14 years and the resale of same items online under www.sokuni.com ("store"), located at Recht Boomssloot 37A, 1011 CS Amsterdam. Definitions

"We," "Us,", "Our" or “Seller”  refers to sokunı.

"You", “Buyer” or "Customer" refers to the user of the store, purchaser of our products or customer of our re-sale service.

"Products" refers to the secondhand clothing items offered for sale on our online store.

Article 1 Purpose

These general terms and conditions govern the rights and obligations of the Parties resulting from the (online) sale of the items offered in the store, as these items are defined in Article 2 below; they apply to the exclusion of any other document. Any order of an item offered in the store implies the buyer's acceptance of these general terms and conditions of sale. sokunı may be the owner of the items or the legal representative to sell the items for a third party. By ordering an item a purchase contract between the buyer and sokunı is concluded.

Article 2 Products 

2.1 Products 

All items are pre-owned or so-called “open-box” and may show signs of wear. They are carefully selected by us. We strive to accurately describe each item's condition, but minor imperfections may not always be noted. The condition of the item is carefully reflected in the sales price.

The condition categories are:

  • New with tag - items are new/unworn; pre-owned or open-box items

  • New without tag - items are new/unworn and have no tag

  • Very good - items are in very good condition and show no or minor signs of use

  • Good - items are in good condition and show minor signs of use

  • Acceptable - items are in good condition and show signs of use

Items in the store can be seen and thus have no categorisation but have a remark added in case of a visible imperfection.

Items may be washed/ironed/steamed but are not washed/ironed/steamed by default. We strongly recommend - just with purchasing new clothes to wash out chemicals and dirt -  to wash any item before wearing for hygiene reasons. 

2.1 Pricing and Payment

Prices are set by sokunı after carefully considering certain factors. Prices are listed in EUR and are subject to change without notice. Payment is due at the time of purchase. The acceptance of items is to the discretion of sokunı, we have a list of brands which can be understood as a guideline [brands]. I addition we may accept other brands if we think they are a match for our curated stock.

Article 3 Shipping and Delivery for online purchases

We ship to almost every EU country. Delivery times and costs vary based on location. We are not responsible for delays caused by customs or postal services. The exact shipping price will be displayed on checkout.

We strive to ship as soon as possible, latest within a maximum of 48 hours from the following working day, subject to payment validation. Delivery times are an estimation and not subject to any damages. 

Article 4 Returns and Refunds for online purchases

We offer a 14-day return policy for items in the same condition as shipped. Toys and books are excluded from exchange. 

We understand that sometimes an item isn’t quite right. Our return process is straightforward but we kindly ask you to consider the environmental impact by having a return process (shipping, re-packing etc) as well as the resources it uses to process it. 

Refunds will be issued to the original payment method. Shipping costs for returns are the customer's responsibility unless the item is defective.

Should you wish to return an item, please do the following steps:

  • contact us on hello@sokuni.com with mentioning your order number

  • Pack the items you’d wish to return and mention the order number and your name on a sheet of paper. If you have an extra minute, let us know the reason for your return.

  • Ship them on your expense to the following address:

Article 5 Intellectual Property

All content on our online store and social media, including images and descriptions, is the property of sokunı and protected by copyright laws.

Article 6 Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for any damages arising from the use of our online store or use/wear of the products. Our liability is limited to the purchase price of the item.

We’re not liable is not responsible for lost items, theft, fire, or water damage.

Furthermore we’re not liable for any damage that arises while participating in our Pop Up or visiting our open warehoyse /sokuni loop studio.

Article 7 Privacy Policy

We collect and use personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.

Article 8 Prohibited Activities

You may not use our online store for any illegal or unauthorized purpose, including but not limited to fraud, harassment, or intellectual property infringement.

Article 9 Miscellaneous 

9.1 We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Continued use of our online store after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

9.2 sokunı is not liable for the total or partial non-performance of its obligations under this contract, if this non-performance is caused by an event constituting force majeure, in particular in the event of disruption or total or partial strike in particular of postal services and means of transport and/or communication, flood or fire.

9.3 Jurisdiction is the Netherlands.

Article 10 Additional Articles for Re-Sale through our store

10.1  Re-selling items through sokunı
If a client decides to re-sell items through sokunı we will act as seller and sell the items on a consignment basis on behalf of the client. For more information about the process click Selling.

10.2 Item selection
sokunı selects the items which we find suitable for the online store. Other items will be offered to be returned at the expense of the customer. Non-returned items as well as non-sold items will be sorted for recycling (up- and downcycle) and donation.

10.3 No guarantee of sale
sokunı will not guarantee that the items can and/or will be sold nor guarantees to offer them online.

10.3 Online duration
Items for sale will be shown on the online store for a period of 6 months. A longer sale period is upon discretion of sokunı.

10.4. Consignment fee
The fee for consignment is 60% of the sales price. 40% will be paid to the customer. Payments for existing store customers are automatically made bi-monthly. For our online store customers you can request payments at any time.
